Each of our three ensuite rooms enjoy lovely views of the paddock and church in this quintessentially North Yorkshire location.

They are individually decorated in rich colours contrasting with the sweep of pristine white cotton bed linen on king-sized beds, some of it specially sourced from the Belgian and South African suppliers we have been using for years.

Yew is the neighbouring room to ASH. It is just a little smaller, but doesn’t feel like it with its high ceiling. A good choice for spotting wildlife.

Oak is the room closest to the main house with windows to the east and south. It has its own courtyard and barbecue.

Ash is in the middle of the mews building and is the largest of the rooms with a little more floor space and a high ceiling.

Nicki, Suffolk – OAK

This is a B&B with a difference it is in an idyllic peaceful setting. Eileen and Robin were there to meet us on arrival and to make sure that we had everything we needed. The attention to detail is really well thought out. We did make a suggestion and it was acted upon and our opinion was sought on the outcome. The only thing that was not quite right for us was the quilt as it was a very heavy winter one, but I am sure that in the cold winter people will love this. The breakfast arrangement was not quite what I expected but I could not fault it, it was delicious.

Grev, Sussex – ASH

Excellent, beautifully appointed room. Very friendly hostess.

I was the high bidder on an auction for three nights staying with Eileen and Robin. How lucky was I! The room (Ash) is one of three that have been converted from an outbuilding. The location is a very quiet village which is a short drive from Knaresborough and Harrogate. It is beautifully appointed with such tasteful decorations and thoughtful touches – I am thinking notably about the soft light that turns on when you enter the bathroom, which at night, emits enough light to use the toilet without having to turn on the main light. There is a very fast USB charging port, smart tv, kettle, Nespresso coffee maker, fridge etc. The fridge is filled with items ready for a continental breakfast every morning. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would heartily recommend. A gem.

Nicola, Newcastle upon Tyne – YEW

Just back from a two night stay at The Vicarage! We couldn’t have asked for more, the place is so beautifully decorated and the hosts Eileen & Robin were so lovely. We stayed in the ‘Yew’ room. Beautiful, contemporary decor with all of the luxuries of a 5* hotel! The finishing touches in the room were fab, it had everything you could think of and more. The #bathrobebreakfast is such a modern and cool feature which leaves you to enjoy breakfast whenever is best for you – midnight toast with cheese and Prosecco went down a treat!

The B&B is about 10 minutes or so in a car away from Harrogate which is great to visit, really nice to stay in such a peaceful environment with the option to visit towns/cities in the area.

Will definitely recommend to others and hopefully come back soon. Thank you for having us!

All the comforts of home

a North Yorkshire Retreat

We have focused on giving our guests as much freedom and flexibility as possible, which includes the option of early check-in and late check-out. You can come and go as you please through your own door and you have breakfast whenever you choose from your in-room pantry. Treat yourself to a leisurely breakfast in your bathrobe. If you want or need to, of course you can have breakfast as early as you wish.

Your room is not short on technology with unlimited fast wifi, smart TV with numerous streaming options and USB charging ports. Your ensuite shower room incorporates those little details that make all the difference: make-up or shaving mirror, sensor night light and not forgetting lashings of hot water pouring from a rainforest shower head.

Each of our rooms has a king-sized bed. We are happy to make up a bed with two single duvets on request, if that suits you better.

The Vicarage Harrogate is a B&B with a difference in the small village of Nidd, just north of Harrogate.
