What our guests say

What our guests say about their stays is posted on public review sites such as Google, TripAdvisor, Facebook and Happy Cow.
This is all of them all in one handy place.

From the moment we arrived to when we left, Eileen & Robin were super helpful.  The place is outstanding, beautifully decorated, super clean and tidy. There was a handbook which tells you anything you need to know and more – from places to eat to taxi driver’s mobile numbers. They have every little detail down to a tee!

Michael, Lancashire – OAK

Excellent location, accommodation and breakfast. Lovely hosts. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay – thank you for everything.

Dawn, Perthshire – ASH

Firstly, Eileen and Robin could not do enough to accommodate myself and my partner – amazing customer service. The room was clean, stylish, comfy bed, great shower. Breakfast – excellent selection, the quality of the food was exceptional. We could not eat everything – we give it a good try though. We used Steve the taxi driver who was friendly and on time. Malt Shovel pub is about 1.5 miles away, lovely walk there, great food, good atmosphere. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, enjoy the country and relax, I would highly recommend booking at The Vicarage

Debbie & Mike, Halifax – ASH

My fiancé and I needed a place to stay for a night whilst we were in the north seeing family, and we wished we could have stayed another night. A gorgeous setting, with the cosiest of rooms and the most hospitable hosts. The bedroom and bathroom have been designed with so much thought (and taste), we are looking forward to coming back soon! A delightful B&B.
Beth, Surrey – YEW

We could not fault anything with our stay – the location is so peaceful, the room (ASH) was perfect, and the attention to detail was flawless. Eileen and Robin are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for a perfect weekend – we’ll return soon, I’m sure!

Juanita, Doncaster – ASH

Absolutely beautiful. Arrived today. Our hosts Eileen and Robin could not have been MORE welcoming – even greeting us on arrival with a very welcomed, ice cold glass of water. We will certainly return.

Lesley, Scunthorpe – ASH

We loved everything about our stay here. Beautiful accommodation in a tranquil setting. Ideal setup to chill out and enjoy some solitude. We chose this place because of the rare opportunity to have seclusion and the ability to breakfast leisurely, in a great setting and in private. The area around here is just lovely. The owners are especially welcoming and very knowledgeable of the area.

Jon & Clive, Driffield – ASH

Eileen and Robin were excellent hosts who were able to add value to our stay with their local knowledge. They deliver on all their promises. We stayed three nights in Ash room the largest on offer. It has been designed and built to maximise usable space in the cosy setting. Good firm mattress and hot and strong shower. Everything was spotless and worked. Their take on breakfast was one of the best we have come across; home made Bircher muesli, fruit compote, yoghurt, crumpets, bread, preserves, ham, cheese, Nespresso coffee. Are you hungry already? The location is suitably rural but affords easy access to villages and towns such as Ripley, Harrogate, Ripon and National Trust sites. One tip, speak to Eileen or Robin and they will put you straight on how to reach them as the post code is an issue but not of their making. We thoroughly recommend The Vicarage to travellers and wish Eileen and Robin continued success in their venture.

Trevor & Robyn, Sydney – ASH

We stayed here for 2 nights for our 18th wedding anniversary and all I can say is it was amazing! The room was lovely and the owners were perfect, nothing was too much trouble! The breakfast was lovely was nice to have it all at hand in your room so no rushing to get ready and go to a restaurant! I would definitely return here. It made our anniversary all the more special, thank you so much!

Emma, Sheffield – ASH

The rooms are beautifully decorated and the fixtures and fittings are stylish. The bed is comfortable and with the quiet location we had a good night’s sleep. Being Vegan wasn’t a problem – our choices for breakfast were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. I think Eileen and Robin are the perfect hosts and very helpful with advice on where to eat and places to visit.

Graham, Hull – ASH

We came to stay at The Vicarage over the bank holiday weekend and we were immediately booked into a local restaurant, because we had got stuck in some traffic on the way and had not got round to eating. Eileen and Robin are lovely people and were very welcoming. The room was beautifully kept and breakfast was set up for us every day. The TV was great and we made use of the access to Netflix. Nothing was too much trouble and we look forward to visiting again. Lovely people.

Katrina, Birmingham – YEW

The room (Ash) is one of three that have been converted from an outbuilding. The location being a very quiet village which is a short drive from Knaresborough and Harrogate. It is beautifully appointed with such tasteful decorations and thoughtful touches – I am thinking notably about the soft light that turns on when you enter the bathroom, which at night, emits enough light without having to turn on the main light. There is a very fast USB charging port, smart tv, kettle, Nespresso coffee maker, fridge etc. The fridge is filled with items ready for a continental breakfast every morning. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would heartily recommend. A gem.

Grev, Sussex – ASH

This delightful B&B, nestling in the tiny village of Nidd near Ripley, North Yorks, is spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed and wonderfully relaxing. Robin and Eileen were great hosts and their barn conversion is now a luxurious B&B. You have your own front door and everything – including the mini-kitchen – is top quality. We had been let down by another local hotel and they shifted things around to accommodate our 4-day stay. Eileen pointed us towards a brilliant local eatery and she couldn’t have been more helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely be back and will recommend it far and wide.

Ged, Matlock - YEW

Great room and beautiful setting, with a warm welcome. Would definitely come here again.

Robert, Mickleover – OAK

Just had four nights at The Vicarage and wish it had been longer. So many places nearby to explore and what a fabulous part of the country it is. Whether you want countryside driving,  exploring villages, shopping, eating, historical sites….. It is all there. The Vicarage is such a wonderful place to start the day or to come home to at the end of the day. Very peaceful and luxurious. Fabulous breakfast with so much choice and how wonderful to be able to just get up and enjoy it , relaxing in your room before another day of sightseeing. Parking right at the door too, which is an added bonus. Robin and Eileen are such great hosts and just a ‘door knock’ away.  Thank you so much and we hope to be back again one day.

Carmel, Freemantle Australia – OAK

Stayed at this lovely little B&B in the village of Nidd which is in between Harrogate and Knaresborough. The rooms were so beautifully designed and the beds so comfy but what I enjoyed most about it was how quiet it was outside. The lady running the place was so lovely and couldn’t do enough to help. Would highly recommend.

Danny, North Yorkshire - ASH

A big thank you for everything that made our 2-day break so lovely. You were so welcoming and the rooms are beautiful. You have got everything just right! Good night’s sleep in beautiful bed and linen and the breakfast was amazing. I am missing the breakfast. Hope you continue to do well with your B&B and we will return!

Karen & John, Stamford - ASH

We had a wonderful stay at this delightful B&B. So peaceful and the surrounding area was lovely. Perfect for a quiet break to recharge our batteries. Will definitely come again. Such a treat to be able to breakfast at our leisure. Thank you so much.

Jane & Dave, Oldham – YEW

Beautiful place to stay. Very friendly and thoughtful hosts who go above and beyond.

Brian, Cheshire – OAK

We had an amazing stay in early August. Lovely decor and quaint setting. Robin and Eileen were very helpful and extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for a high quality nook so that you can explore the beautiful surroundings.
Will definitely be staying again in the future. Thanks!.

Michael & Ann, Nottinghamshire - ASH

What a fabulous little spot you have here. We will be back – have taken a card !

Mag & Malcolm, Cumbria – YEW & OAK

We stayed here in August for a wedding at Ripley castle What can I say…. absolutely fabulous! Eileen and Robin were fantastic and went that extra mile and dropped us off at the wedding, which may I add was above and beyond! The rooms were cozy and all modern and the pantry was a lovely touch. There is nothing better than being able to eat breakfast in your room with no rushing around = perfect. I would like to say again a massive Thank You! Sorry it took so long to post the review but will most definitely be returning! Perfect for a weekend away with no children.

High quality of furnishing and fabrics and lovely friendly helpful owners. Highly recommended. Fantastic nights sleep. Quiet and bed so comfy as were pillows. Highest quality linen towels and dressing gown. Nice breakfast and catered for me as gluten intolerant by providing gluten free bread. Shower was excellent and hot.  Room a bit chilly on arrival.

Eileen, London – YEW

Lovely escape to the countryside, quiet location. Our room including ensuite shower room was decorated and furnished to a very high standard. We enjoyed our hearty continental style breakfast which offered a wide choice of food. Our friendly hosts made us feel very welcome.

Briony & Andy, Leeds – OAK

Attending a wedding in Ripley and with no room at the inn (The Boar’s Head) we were referred to The Vicarage. What a find! Eileen and Robin could not have been more helpful even taking us to the church in Ripley on the Saturday. The room itself was comfortable, well appointed and spotless and we enjoyed Sunday breakfast on the patio which our room – Oak – had. This B&B deserves to do VERY well…. we could have stayed so much longer ….

Kate, Leeds – OAK

I have found a real gem & somewhere that I know I will return to when I need to relax & recharge. What did I like? Everything! Locations was idyllic, and perfect for me as my family were staying at Nidd Hall. Very friendly welcome, room was beautifully done, & to a high quality. I loved that it was self contained & the breakfast pantry was in the room, with a great choice of quality produce. Lovely little table & chairs in the room. Great attention to detail, e.g a dimmed light underneath sink came on when entering if dark. There was a torch in the room which came in very handy! The bed was so comfy & Eileen so accommodating, offering table & chairs to sit outside for breakfast in morning if I wanted.

Esther, Thirsk – YEW

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay at The Vicarage. Eileen and Robin came and introduced themselves when we arrived, and explained everything to us. They even brought us an umbrella to use to load the luggage into the car when we left. They were always there if we needed anything, but thankfully we didn’t, because the room was excellently equipped. All of the breakfast items were fresh, and in your own pantry to help yourself whenever you wish. The bed was incredibly comfortable, everything was clean and working. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Steve, Suffolk – YEW

A wonderful stay and the accommodation is first class, immaculate and very high quality. The setting is very beautiful and our hosts Eileen and Robin were extremely welcoming. We would definitely book again.

Simon, Cambridgeshire - ASH

The Vicarage B&B is set in the wonderful country side just outside of Harrogate, in the village area of Nidd, Yorkshire The Vicarage was a great place for us to overnight on travels through Yorkshire. With only three B&B units, you are assured of peace and tranquillity. The rooms and well set up, modern, and very, very clean. We stayed in the smallest of the three units and despite its size it was well coordinated and space was well utilised. The nearby church is a must see. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. Full of knowledge and interesting information. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip and for more than one night! A home away from home.

Glenn & Sue, Auckland – YEW

Came to stay for our anniversary, the location is beautiful and peaceful. Accommodation is the perfect mix of modern meets a homely country vibe. The attention to detail is flawless, so many personal touches and everything has been thought of. On arrival there was a beautiful anniversary card and bottle of fizz 😊 The hosts Eileen and Robin, could not to do enough to ensure you have a pleasant stay and encourage you to ask for anything required. Not that we had to, as they’d prepared us with all we needed. Brilliant breakfast spread and its not often I get Yorkshire tea in a decent cup when staying away from home 😁 thank you so much for having us. Beautiful place highly enjoyable stay 🖤 🖤

Jeanie, Harrogate – YEW

I stayed for two nights while cycling the area and visiting family. Where do I begin?
✔ fabulous accommodation
✔ super hosts
✔ totally relaxing
✔ beautiful setting
✔ my kinda breakfast

Stephen, Lancashire – YEW

Can’t believe its been 2 weeks since I did the UCI Sportive up in Harrogate. Great, hard course, well organised, good support from the locals, despite the weather. Very wet but enjoyed it. Plus I stayed at a great B&B in Harrogate which made for a great base to cycle from 🙂 So fellow cyclists, I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you’re venturing out into the Dales.
Special thanks for both Eileen and Robin for being such great hosts! Oh and for the very filling breakfasts 🙂 Which I did struggle to finish on the morning of the sportive….! I’ll make sure to be back next spring 🙂
Michael, London – YEW

Ideally positioned for access to the local area, local pub the Malt Shovel has brilliant food. The peace and quiet was very relaxing. Approach roads are a little tight.

David, Glenrothes – YEW

The Vicarage was absolutely fab. We were greeted by Robin and Eileen who we warmed to straight away. Our lodge was beautiful and furnished to a very high standard and lovely comfy bed. The location is perfect and really tranquil. We will definitely go back again.

Maureen, Sheffield – YEW

A few days at this beautiful B&B is the perfect holiday. Extremely relaxing. Delightfully decorated and spotlessly clean. Brilliant shower and lovely toiletries, plus fluffy dressing gowns. It’s in the pretty village of Nidd – a stunning location. Eileen and Robin are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, everything you could want, to enjoy at your leisure. The area is beautiful with lots to see and do. Lovely local pubs to walk to or a short drive. A really wonderful holiday. We can’t wait to return.

Joyce, Orpington – YEW

On arrival at this hidden gem we were pleasantly welcomed by Eileen and Robin who were very attentive to our needs. The room we stayed in was immaculate in every way with attention to detail through out. Our stay was super comfortable and the self service breakfast was excellent in every way. It’s a shame we didn’t have more time to enjoy this superb setting and cannot thank the hosts enough for their hospitality. I highly recommend this high quality accommodation and will certainly be returning to soak up some more of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
A superb setting and a great location. 1st class. Thank you x

Wayne, Dorset – ASH

A perfect country, birthday break. We stayed in the Oak room for a night to celebrate my birthday and what a fabulous time we had! The room was spotless and had everything you could want. Beautifully decorated in a stunning location. The owners, Eileen & Robin, were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We can’t recommend The Vicarage highly enough.

Lovely weekend in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Room was very comfortable, and the in-room breakfast, tea and coffee making facilities were excellent and well stocked. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway with great access to all the beautiful sights that North Yorkshire has to offer.

Becky, Hampshire – OAK

Came down to see our son who is working down here. Had the best weekend. Stayed in ASH which was so comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, you’re not restricted to a time as all the stuff is in your room like a mini kitchen. The area is amazing – woke up to lovely view of the church. The owners Robin and Eileen were so nice and welcoming recommending things to do and places to eat. Always on hand if you have any issue or questions. Would defo recommend it and we will definitely be back.

Justine, Kilmarnock - ASH

Perfect getaway. Absolutely fell in love with this quaint little B&B as soon as we arrived. Myself and my boyfriend stayed in Yew for 3 nights. We were greeted by the lovely Eileen and met Robin the day after, both hosts were so helpful and welcoming. Hidden away down a country lane, the security levels weren’t something we needed to worry about. There are a choice of pubs within driving distance (walking if you’re fitter than me), I highly recommend The Malt Shovel, lovely food and friendly service. The pantry area was replenished each day, and the food on offer for breakfast was of enough variety to suit everyone’s taste. I really enjoyed the overnight oats and fruit compote, the egg boiler is a novel and handy idea too. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and freshly made each day when the room was cleaned. There was a small table by the window providing a breakfast/dressing table area. The nearest bus stop is around a 15 minute walk away and goes to both Harrogate and Leeds, so we were within easy reach of the shopping areas. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone wanting a homely feel to a holiday.

Rebecca, Lancashire – YEW

Excellent accommodation. Really enjoyed our stay here. Eileen and Robin are the perfect hosts. Enjoyed being able to use Nidd Hall facilities and had a wonderful meal there. Will definitely be recommending The Vicarage to friends and family. Thank you Eileen and Robin for your hospitality we will definitely be coming back again.

Diane & Tony, Chester - ASH

Just back from a two night stay at The Vicarage! We couldn’t have asked for more, the place is so beautifully decorated and the hosts Eileen & Robin were so lovely. We stayed in the ‘Yew’ room. Beautiful, contemporary decor with all of the luxuries of a 5* hotel! The finishing touches in the room were fab, it had everything you could think of and more. The #BathrobeBreakfast is such a modern and cool feature which leaves you to enjoy breakfast whenever is best for you – midnight toast with cheese and Prosecco went down a treat!
The B&B is about 10 minutes or so in a car away from Harrogate which is great to visit, really nice to stay in such a peaceful environment with the option to visit towns/cities in the area.
Will definitely recommend to others and hopefully come back soon. Thank you for having us!

Nicola, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne – YEW

There are not enough words to describe this idyllic place apart from “perfect”. From the greeting we received upon our arrival, to us leaving on Sunday, Eileen and Robin were the perfect hosts. The room we had was called Ash. It was beautifully decorated and everything you could possibly need was included…. even a machine to boil your eggs! Breakfast was laid out in your own pantry in the room so there was no need to get up early. Even my favourite crumpets were included after I had made a special request. Eileen and Robin went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. We didn’t want to leave and would recommend this fabulous place to stay.

Sue, Evesham - ASH

The most fabulous stay last night. What a find, I want to keep it a personal secret but I prefer to shout how amazing and comfortable both the accommodation and more so Eileen and Robin have been. The thoughtful amenities, as well as spacious and quiet rooms.

Peter, Edinburgh – OAK

We stayed for 4 nights. Where to begin? The room was beautiful. Recently renovated and beautifully decorated and furnished with sumptuous and tasteful curtains etc. Fab ensuite bathroom with spectacular shower and all those lovely little touches you would expect in a smart hotel. Great Wi-fi, tv with all the cable channels and so, so peaceful. Breakfast was ace and we didn’t even need to commit to it the night before. Thoroughly recommend.

Really great stay at The Vicarage. The owners were very helpful, they even gave us a lift to a nearby wedding and provided extra gluten free options for breakfast. Really nice room with an area for dining. Beautiful surroundings, perfect for a quiet break. Would love to come back.

Harry, Freemantle Australia – OAK

Great quiet break away for a couple and have already recommended it to friends. The privacy of the accommodation and the location were great. It was wonderful to get away and relax in our own space. We enjoyed the tranquillity of the setting too and even enjoyed the local Church bells too.

Alison, Warrington – OAK

You would be foolish to not book!! I cannot overstate what a remarkable & memorable time was had here –  It’s the perfect quiet, secluded, modern B&B close enough to Harrogate but far enough from everything. Quiet. Clean. Modern. Exceptionally well appointed. Everything meshes and works together. Very comfortable new beds. Robin and Eileen were terrific hosts, genuinely amazing. Great storytellers and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. They called ahead to ensure the closest pubs would stay open for us for a late dinner.

Aaron, Alberta Canada – OAK

A quality boutique B&B run by people who care and go the extra mile for their guests. Wonderful, warm welcome from Eileen and Robin. High quality accommodation, everything you could need is supplied, and more. Very good quality breakfast ingredients, and we had a very comfortable nights sleep. It’s not cheap, but it is quality!

Arlene, Surrey – OAK

Eileen & Robin have created a beautiful haven, which was a wonderful much needed retreat. Thank you both for your welcome, the fabulous bathrobe breakfast (which served as supper too! Cheese & tomato toastie was perfect 😉 and the best night’s sleep. Hope to see you again in the future.

Theresa, Isle of Wight – OAK

Myself and my husband had a lovely one night stay at The Vicarage, we didn’t know the area very well but wanted to do some walking, Eileen and Robin sent us a suggestions for a walk around Nidd Gorge and link to a map, which was very helpful. They also recommended some local places to eat in the evening, we booked at the Malt Shovel in Brearton which was excellent. The Oak Room was immaculate and beautifully decorated, with lots of lovely thoughtful touches, like fresh flowers, freestanding make up mirror and of course the wonderful ‘bathrobe breakfast’. A lovely quiet stay.

Catriona, Loughborough – OAK

Lovely unique B&B in a quiet setting just a few miles from Harrogate.

Callum, Beverley – YEW

A perfect country retreat. I booked The Vicarage B&B as I was attending a wedding just up the road. I have never experienced luxury like what this B&B offers. The rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. However I think it’s the attention to detail that makes this place stand out from other B&Bs. Fresh flowers in the bathroom, luxury products/ food in the larder. The hosts are friendly & welcoming, but not over powering. Everything about this B&B offers a relaxing comfortable stay and would highly recommend to anyone wishing the stay in the area.

Rachel, Shropshire – OAK

Stayed in May 2019 in the Ash accommodation. The place and host deserve every one of their five stars. There are no bad points at all. We are Vegan and would recommend The Vicarage to Vegans without hesitation. Non-Vegans too 🙂 The rooms are exactly like their website photos “Perfect”. Breakfast great, room spotless, warm cosy, secluded location. Not wanting to repeat all the other positive comments suffice to say we loved it and would return.

Gary, Manchester – ASH

Just thoroughly enjoyed a 3 night stay at this lovely B&B. The room was very elegant and tastefully decorated, the breakfast was lovely, with surprisingly plenty of choice, and the area was so quiet and peaceful.
Eileen and Robin made us feel very welcome and they were very helpful with plenty of advice on places to visit and restaurants and cafes offering vegan options in the area. Would definitely like to return.

Carole, Humberside – ASH

This is a B&B with a difference it is in an idyllic peaceful setting. Eileen and Robin were there to meet us on arrival and to make sure that we had everything we needed. The attention to detail is really well thought out. We did make a suggestion and it was acted upon and our opinion was sought on the outcome. The only thing that was not quite right for us was the quilt as it was a very heavy winter one, but I am sure that in the cold winter people will love this. The breakfast arrangement was not quite what I expected but I could not fault it, it was delicious.

Nicki, Suffolk – OAK

A little gem of a B&B. Located near Harrogate in the village of Nidd. This b&b is different from what we have used before. The differences were, it was very very quiet, and after the pleasant church clock stopped we had a long restful sleep. The room was exceptionally clean. A very comfortable bed, and plenty of toiletries, with towels and even dressing gowns included. Breakfast was a treat, it was all left in a little fridge for our convenience, just when we wished to have it. Breakfast included fresh eggs (to boil yourself in a little gadget) toast, crumpets, cereal, fresh milk, squeezed orange juice, yogurt and fresh fruit. Choice of jams etc, and plenty of tea and coffee. If we were to run out of anything we just had to drop our host Eileen a text, and she would happily bring it to the room. Parking is included one space to each room. A pleasant walk is through the church grounds and into the Nidd hotel. A short drive away is the village of Ripley (with a castle). Nearby pubs cater excellent meals, details on the in-room computer. We were delighted to have found this B&B and will be booking again.

Harry, Durham – YEW

A warm welcome on arrival.  Our room was immaculate and the attention to detail with the decor was gorgeous   OAK was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.  Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it.   A perfect place to stay and located well for visiting the surrounding areas. We will definitely stay at The Vicarage again.

Lesley, Newcastle under Lyme – OAK

Our group stayed in ASH and YEW at this wonderful little B&B. The interior design was such a surprise – in a word: lush. Not only was the in-room breakfast a pleasant variation on a theme, but the amenities (WiFi, your choice of streaming platforms incl. Amazon Prime, Netflix and YouTube) really made you feel “at home”. Coupled with the beautiful countryside surrounding this tranquil area made the whole trip a very pleasant one. The hosts were attentive but not intrusive and provided a good variety of breakfast options (such as toast/crumpets, selection of teas, etc). We will definitely go there again.

Natalie, Frankfurt - ASH & YEW

Beautiful room, very friendly owner, lovely location. We would definitely recommend this for a couple of night’s getaway.

Rob, Manchester – ASH

Four of us had a glorious girly overnighter at the Vicarage to celebrate our dear friend’s 60th birthday. The hosts were incredible friendly and made sure we were perfectly happy with our stay. The breakfast was a real treat, beautifully done and presented. We could not have been happier with the rooms, wonderful quality throughout.

Lesley, Lancashire – ASH

Six-star stay – small, but exquisitely presented. Eileen and Robin have thought of everything. The extensive flexible breakfast is a great idea, and Eileen’s fastidious attention to detail and cleanliness is second to none. We will recommend to all our friends who are travelling North – Thank you!

Mark, Worcester – YEW

We had a lovely stay at The Vicarage.
On arrival we received a very nice welcome from Eileen and Robin. Beautiful, modern rooms with everything you need! Great location to go and visit the beautiful surroundings. Would highly recommend for a perfect little get away! xx

Kirsty, Lincolnshire – OAK

Stayed 2 nights at The Vicarage in Nidd when visiting the Great Yorkshire Show. What a lovely tranquil place. Bedroom standard was excellent (wonderful shower), boutique standard at an affordable price and the breakfast setup fitted our needs perfectly as we had an early start . Eileen & Robin were lovely hosts.  You can tell that this business is very personal to them both. What a gem of a find! We look forward to returning to The Vicarage someday.

Janice & Hector, Perthshire – OAK

Unbeatable quality, location and tranquility. We stayed in OAK  which has the benefit of a BBQ and a small sitting area. First the accommodation, first class, spotless, high quality and very very comfortable. The outside area was a huge bonus for us as we wanted to cook that evening and chill – it was perfect. The hosts, Eileen and Robin are the best! This place is highly recommended. There is nothing not to like. You will need a car if you want to venture out as this is rural bliss though.

Nick, Yorkshire – OAK

Great place to stay due to its proximity to Harrogate. The room had its own front door. This gave us the freedom to come and go at any time.  It was designed to a very high standard, well thought through in terms of the design and furnishings, we loved the Egyptian cotton sheets. There was no need to decide the night before when to get breakfast. The in-room breakfast was so convenient and different. There was cheese and charcuterie in the fridge – pre-dinner nibbles awaiting us after a long drive, very thoughtful.  The ensuite shower room was fitted out to a high standard. The magnifying mirror is a nice feature and a good quality hair dryer an essential. In fact, the accommodation had all the services of a high-quality hotel without the formalities. One of the best smart TVs I’ve seen in a guest room. It was home from home… Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and wifi. A great stay. Thank you!

Julie, London – OAK

Have showered all over the World. The Vicarage B&B, Harrogate, will take some beating!

Darren & Julie, West Yorkshire – YEW

The Vicarage B&B is absolutely beautiful, hidden off a quiet road it gives you the tranquil escape that you might be looking for but it is still close to Harrogate and other surrounding towns. We stayed in the Yew room, the furnishings were beautiful and the room had everything you could ask for and more. The ‘BathrobeBreakfast’ is a great idea as you get to enjoy all of the items whenever it suits you! The room itself is contemporary, immaculately clean and feels like a five star boutique hotel! Eileen and Robin, the hosts, were very friendly and more than happy to help with anything we needed without being overbearing or intrusive. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a relaxing, luxury break!

Laura, Tyneside – YEW

Excellent. Great base. Owners really cared and it showed through even to the boiled egg maker, hope to go again.

Amalia & Rico, Glasgow - ASH

Great value for money, impressive set up, beautiful settings and wonderful hosts. Couldn’t recommend them any more. Will be 100% returning. Thank you.

Danial, Kent – YEW

What a truly beautiful place to stay. Gorgeous rooms, wonderful hosts and so very well equipped. Super close to Harrogate and in a stunning area. My only regret…I am not here for longer and have a 5.30am start. This incredibly comfy bed will take some getting out of! Am so definitely coming back (not on business next time).

Marie, Derbyshire – YEW
